About the Program

ots logo

The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), funds sobriety checkpoints throughout California. The goal is to reduce the number of victims killed and injured in alcohol-involved crashes. The UC Berkeley Traffic Safety Center (TSC) processes grant awards, which are contracts between the Regents of the University of California (Regents) and the grantee. This Web site is intended to aid grantees in the grant application process.
